▪   An R&D department has been set up within the Group;

▪   Our staff follows continuous training;

▪   Early 2017: Three weeks’ specific training by sector of activity (Structure, Fluids, Architecture, Construction Economics) for our staff to achieve BIM competence in all entities of the Darwin Concept Group;

▪   Internal eco-accountability: selective sorting/paper reduction/electronic archiving/energy saving, etc.;

▪   Eco-design: In each study, we evaluate the potential for energy savings and optimization in all building and operation sectors to find the most energy-efficient solutions with the lowest impact on the environment;

▪   We sort and recycle waste on all our construction sites (PAE [Environment Assurance Plan], etc.);

▪   As part of our commitment to protect the environment, the DARWIN Head Office was designed on a systemic approach to environmental impact reduction. It is a “positive energy” building, producing more electrical energy than it consumes. Our building meets the most recent Environmental Quality labels and has received the following awards:

-    Overseas buildings carbon scale silver medal (2012);

-    1st architecture prize - “Work/Reception” category (2014);

-    Bourbon Trophy - “Construction Project Manager” category (2016);

▪   DARWIN CONCEPT Group joined the BIOM Attitude approach in 2016 to demonstrate the relevance of circular economy;

▪   DARWIN CONCEPT Group is now part of a panel of companies members of BIOM and Attitude Réunion movement, a COP 21 solution, contributing to the territory’s sustainable development.

▪   We sponsor and foster employment of young people through work-study training schemes, and use our operations to support the reintegration of adults in difficult situations;
